What can we do to ready ourselves for Jesus' glorious appearing?
In Mt. 11:19 Jesus said, "Wisdom is proved right by her actions".
How we use the knowledge God gives us determines our future!
JESUS SAID
See, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay all according to their deeds. (Rev.22:12)
GETTING READY FOR JESUS' APPEARING

HOME

When the truth of the Gospel is preached and an invitation to repent and
receive Jesus is given, at that point a decision must be made regarding how
you will respond to the information you have received. If the path of wisdom
is taken forgiveness and salvation is the result.

There's very little value in gaining information unless there's a determination
to respond correctly. The message of Jesus soon return will be proclaimed
with great power and anointing! Holy Spirit conviction will grip our hearts as never before, but if we don't choose to spiritually apply ourselves as a result
of the information we have received then we're wide open for future regret! It
is my deep and sincere prayer that you seriously consider implementing the
following Scriptural information to your life! God richly bless you as you seek
to glorify Jesus through your "life style" as you prepare to respond to the
trumpet call and meet the Lord when He returns.

1Jn.1:5 tells us that God is light and that there is no darkness in Him at all.
This being the case I must conclude that God would never mislead or deceive
anyone. After all He is the Truth! On that basis we must conclude that if He
gives us a warning then there must be good reason! We must also conclude
that if there are consequences for failing to respond to His warning it too
must be genuine. If not then it falls in the category deception. For example
the clear direct warning Jesus gives that we MUST BE READY when He
appears carries with it responsibility and consequence. The ten virgins is a
classic example of this. Five were wise because they had properly prepared
and were ready when the Bridegroom came. The foolish virgins were those
who had failed to properly prepare themselves. The consequences for their
foolishness, was that they were shut out and not permitted to enter. I'm a
firm believer in the power of God's grace yet at the say time believe it's very
possible to abuse it! This abuse has consequences!
Gal. 6:7 - Don't be
misled. Remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it. You will
always reap what you sow!

Mt.24:44-51 - You also must be ready all the time. For the Son of
Man will come when least expected.
45 "Who is a faithful, sensible
servant, to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing         his household and feeding his family?
46 If the master returns and
finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward.
47
I assure you, the master will put that servant in charge of all he         owns. 48 But if the servant is evil and thinks, 'My master won't be
        back for a while,'
49 and begins oppressing the other servants,
        partying, and getting drunk-
50 well, the master will return
unannounced and unexpected. 51 He will tear the servant apart and
punish him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping
        and gnashing of teeth.

There is little doubt in my mind that the "final generation" of Christians on
earth prior to Jesus' return have a unique responsibility and call to be ready
for when the trumpet call of God sounds announcing Jesus' return.
(1Cor.15:52;
1Th.4:16)
The wise will live in preparation for Jesus return. They will give "due
diligence" to making their calling and election sure. They will apply
themselves to intimate personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The
wake, alert, faithful Believers will not be surprised or caught off guard with
Jesus sudden appearance!

1Th.5: 2-9 - For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will
come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.
3 When people are
saying, "All is well; everything is peaceful and secure," then disaster
will fall upon them as suddenly as a woman's birth pains begin when
her child is about to be born. And there will be no escape.
4 But you
aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters,
and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes
        like a thief.
5 For you are all children of the light and of the day; we
don't belong to darkness and night.
6 ¶ So be on your guard, not
asleep like the others. Stay alert and be sober.
7 Night is the time for
sleep and the time when people get drunk.
8 But let us who live in
the light think clearly, protected by the body armor of faith and love,
and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.
9 For
God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to
pour out his anger on us.

THE WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED:
Some of the things Jesus told His followers were not the easiest for them to
receive! On one occasion manner left Him!
(1Jn.6:60-66) There can be a very
real challenge to accept and believe what the Bible says about Jesus Second
Coming. There has been for me over the years. God's grace is available and
we can receive and believe the truth.
Rev.2:29 - Anyone who is willing to hear
should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

Lk.12:40 - You must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will
        come when least expected."

Mk.13:35-37 - So keep a sharp lookout! For you do not know when
the homeowner will return-at evening, midnight, early dawn, or late
        daybreak.
36 Don't let him find you sleeping when he arrives
        without warning.
37 What I say to you I say to everyone: Watch for
        his return
!"

INSTRUCTIONS HAVE BEEN GIVEN:
Listed below are various Scriptures specifically instructing how to life and
conduct our life as we live in expectation of Jesus sudden appearance in
power and great glory. I have purposed to limit these verses to those that
directly relate to context of life in the final generation. There are many
instructional Scriptures pertaining to all generations. The Scripture list I give
should not be understood to exclude these but embrace them as well. The
list below should be understood as added to the basics!

Lk.21:8 -28 - So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and
look up, for your salvation is near!"

Titus 2:12,13 - And we are instructed to turn from godless living and
sinful pleasures
. We should live in this evil world with self-control, right
conduct
, and devotion to God,
13 while we look forward to that wonderful
event when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be
revealed.

1Th.5:8 - But let us who live in the light think clearly, protected by the body
armor of faith and love
, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of
our salvation
.

1Jn.3:2,3 - Yes, dear friends, we are already God's children, and we can't
even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that
when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
3 And
all who believe this will keep themselves pure, just as Christ is pure.

2Tim.4:8 - And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness that the
Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. And
the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his
glorious return
.

2P.3:10-13 - But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief.
Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them
will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to
judgment
. 11 ¶ Since everything around us is going to melt away, what holy,
godly lives you should be living
!
12 You should look forward to that day
and hurry it along-the day when God will set the heavens on fire and the
elements will melt away in the flames.
13 But we are looking forward to the
new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world where everyone is right
with God.

Lk.17:30-33 - Yes, it will be 'business as usual' right up to the hour when the
Son of Man returns.
31 On that day a person outside the house must not go
into the house to pack. A person in the field must not return to town.
32
Remember what happened to Lot's wife!
33 Whoever clings to this life will
lose it, and whoever loses this life will save it.

1Jn.2:28 - And now, dear children, continue to live in fellowship with
Christ
so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink
back from him in shame.

Mt.24:14 - And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached
throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally,
the end will come.

Where do we start? I have found the best place to be prayer. Seeking God's
grace, wisdom, courage and determination. As we seek the Lord in sincerity
He will enable us to do the things that please His heart. We can all a part of
the Bride whose garments are clean and unstained by the world. We can all
be ready as we trust the Lord to enable us to diligently obey His Word.

Ph.2:12,13 - Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my
instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even
more careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God
with deep reverence and fear.
13 For God is working in you, giving you
the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.

Suggested Prayer:
Father in Heaven; thank you for your great love and personal commitment to
me through the Lord Jesus Christ. I reach out to now in that name that is
above all name, the name of Jesus. I look to you for strength, inspiration and
encouragement that I might be found in these last days bring honor and glory
to your holy name. Help me to properly prioritize my life that I might be found
focusing on the eternal things of God not the things of earth. Keep me from
being robbed of the eternal blessing Jesus purchased for me on the cross.
In Jesus name! Amen

.
