JESUS SAID
A Spiritual Tsunami Is Coming

The tragic loss of life (223,00) caused by the tsunami in South East in
December of 2004 could have been drastically reduced had there been an
adequate warning system in place. Since then, signs such as the one at the
right are becoming common sights along the Canadian coastlines.

Warning systems and signs are well proven methods of reducing casualties
regardless of the dangers. We're on the verge of a huge spiritual tsunami that
will be unleashed upon the world prior to Jesus' glorious appearing. There are
significant signs indicating that it may already be in the process of being
unleashed. It's time to head for "spiritually higher ground"!

A spiritual tsunami is about to break forth across the world and tragically
there will be great loss of life but if we heed the warning signs and get
properly prepared then it need not touch our lives!

Some hopefully since people teach that Church will be rapture before the
Antichrist is revealed. This is a pleasant thought BUT it has no solid Scriptural
foundation. We need the courage of Christ to believe and fully embrace the
truth of God's Word. I can still recall the unsettledness in my own soul when I
discovered that what I had been original taught in Bible School about the
Second Coming of Christ and the Rapture of the Church did not have adequate
Scriptural support. As time went on and I continued my personal Studies it
became more evident to me that the original teaching of the early Church was
still the most Biblical. Oh, it isn't the most pleasant, but it is the most
accurate. I had to come to grips with the Truth! What was I to do? What could
I do to prepare myself and family for what lay ahead. I concluded that the
safest place to be was in continuous intimate fellowship with the Lord Jesus
Christ. I believe this more than ever. It is in this intimacy where perfect
(complete, mature) love casts out all fear.
1Jn.4:18 - Such love has no fear
because perfect love expels all fear….

The New Testament is very clear about spiritual deception in the last days and
more so about the days just preceding Jesus' Second Coming. By taking an
honest look at 2Thes.5:1-13 this becomes very evident. Let's just walk through
these Scripture looking for the truth. I'm fully convinced that if we have
purposed in our hearts that it is truth we want then truth is what the Lord will
give us. On the other hand if we choose to only believe what is nice and
pleasant then we're leaving ourselves wide open for deception.

One example of Believers being misdirected and hurt, some never to recover,
is that of the Christians who lived in China just prior to the Communists taking
over in 1949. Some, where told not to worry God would not allow this to
happen and they would be raptured away before any tribulation occurred. Well,
history speaks for itself on this one! God did allow China to be ruled by a very
antichrist, anti-Christain government. Some Christians lived in spiritual shock
while others fell away in discouragement and unbelief. I'm afraid this same kind
of things may be happening. Pre-tribulation rapture is still the most common
teaching in the Church in North America. It seems that things have gone so far
that, pre-tribulation, of any kind, not just the Great Tribulation in the Book of
Revelation, simply can't happen! They say, "God just wouldn't allow it, He
loves us too much!"

There were Christians in Europe during the first and second world wars whose
countries where invaded and conquered by an antichrist. There were Christians
involved in the South Asian tsunami! There were Christians in New Orleans
when it was destroyed! The point I'm making is this: Bad things can happen to
good people. God allows His people to be effected by natural disasters as well
as by wars, etc. A fresh read of Foxes Book of Martyrs can help to bring a
balanced perspective to this issue. Was Stephen loved of God when he was
stoned to death for preaching the truth? Was the Apostle John loved of God
when exiled to the Island of Patmos, where he received the Revelation of Jesus
Christ? Was the Apostle Paul loved of God when he was imprisoned, beaten
and even left for dead because he preached salvation through the repentance of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? God loves His people and nothing but
sin is able to separate us from that love. Tribulations cannot separate us from
God's love.
(Rom.8:35-39) The issue is never whether or not God loves us it's
whether or not we love Him!

I don't profess to have all the answers to the "why questions" but I do know the
important thing in all this is relationship with Jesus. If we will give due diligence
of our "today relationship", God will look after our tomorrows for us. Having said that lets now look at 2Thes. 5:1-13 and see what we learn about the coming
"spiritual tsunami".

2Thes.5:1-13 - And now, brothers and sisters, let us tell you
about the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we
will be gathered together to meet him.
2 Please don't be so
easily shaken and troubled by those who say that the day of
the Lord has already begun. Even if they claim to have had a
vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us, don't
        believe them.
3 ¶ Don't be fooled by what they say. For
that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against
God and the man of lawlessness is revealed-the one who
        brings destruction.
4 He will exalt himself and defy every god
there is and tear down every object of adoration and worship.
He will position himself in the temple of God, claiming that he
        himself is God.
5 Don't you remember that I told you this when
        I was with you?
6 And you know what is holding him back, for
he can be revealed only when his time comes.
7 For this
lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain
secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the
        way.
8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, whom
the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth and
destroy by the splendor of his coming.
9 This evil man will
come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs
        and miracles.
10 He will use every kind of wicked deception
to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they
refuse to believe the truth that would save them.
11 So God
will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all
        these lies.
12 Then they will be condemned for not believing
the truth and for enjoying the evil they do.

1) The first thing we learn from this text is, Paul is clearing addressing the
issue of Jesus' Second Coming as it relates to the Believers being "gather
together" (caught up or raptured) to meet the Lord when He returns.

2) The next thing we learn is, Paul's intent to correct some inaccuracies
regarding the "day of the Lord" or the day when God pours out His wrath
in judgment upon a Christ rejecting world.

3) Paul believed it important for Christians to understand that the wrath of God
or the "day of the Lord" has not started at that time.

4) Paul gives two distinctive signs as to when to expect the Second Coming or
glorious appearing of Jesus Christ. Clearly this event WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL there is a "falling away", a general rebellion against God and the "man
of sin", the Antichrist is revealed.

5) The spiritual force that presently restrains evil power and person from being
revealed will be removed and the Antichrist worshiped as god.

6) When Jesus returns in power and great glory He both, consume and destroy
the Antichrist.

7) There will be great spiritual deception prior to Jesus appearing and those
who refuse the truth will be totally deceived!

Now from what we've gleaned from these few verses lets see if we have the
answers to some of the fundamental questions regarding the final days on
earth prior to Jesus return.

QUESTION:
Will Christians be on earth when the Antichrist is revealed?

ANSWER: Yes they will, because Jesus destroys the Antichrist when He
appears to gather His saints and executed God's wrath on a Christ rejecting
world!

QUESTION:
Will Christians be on earth when there is strong spiritual deception in the
world?

ANSWER: Yes they will, because the deception released by the spirit of
Antichrist occurs before Jesus glorious appearing to gather His saints.

In Mt.11:19 Jesus said, "wisdom is shown to be right by what results from it."
The NIV translates this as, "wisdom is proved right by her actions." The
information we are gleaning regarding the "final days" on earth MUST be
applied to our personal lives. What good is it to have knowledge but not
wisdom. We need to act wisely. We need to apply our self with regards to our
relationship with the Lord. In Him is safety not in knowledge. If what we learn
form our time in God's Word stirs us to greater intimacy then it has been
positively effective.

There's a special blessing issued for all who read and obey what the Lord says
in the book of Revelation. I can't stress enough the need to respond to
prophetic knowledge with "love obedience". We're taken right back to the
parable in Mt.7 of the wise man building his house upon the rock.

Mt.7: 24-27 - "Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys
me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
25
Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise
and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse,
because it is built on rock.
26 But anyone who hears my
teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a
        house on sand.
27 When the rains and floods come and the
winds beat against that house, it will fall with a mighty crash."

One similarity, which needs to be noted with the wise and foolish person; the
storm came against both houses. The encouragement we receive is from the
fact that if we give our "due diligence" by responding in obedience to the Word
of God then when the storm is over our house is left standing. Make no
mistake storms are coming! Christianity is fast loosing the favor it once
enjoyed in North America and throughout the world! True Bible Christianity
will be viewed as too intolerant as the various religions of the world seek to
formulate common ground for one world religion. Bible morality, even now
among many nominal Christian is understood to be "old fashioned" and not
relevant to present modern society. It's estimated that in the USA 70% of
those who profess Christianity do not believe that Jesus is the only way
heaven. WOW! How can this be? It various ways the Western church has
already been overcome by the antichrist spirit of the age.

While there's still time we need to be seeking our God for the "courage of
Christ" to be released in our life so we can simply live in obedience to the
Word of God with compromise! In Lk. 18:8 Jesus asks a very sobering
question one which I prayer we will be able to answer yes to.

Lk.18:8 - … However, when the Son of Man comes, will he
                find faith on the earth?"

Listed below are some other Scriptures telling us of the coming "spiritual
tsunami" that is starting to break forth upon the earth!

Mt.24:.4,5 - Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you. 5 For many will
come in my name, saying, 'I am the Messiah.' They will lead many astray.

Mt.24:10-14 - And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each
other.
11 And many false prophets will appear and will lead many people
astray.
12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow
cold.
13 But those who endure to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good
News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so
that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come.

Mt.24:23-28 - "Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Messiah,' or 'There
he is,' don't pay any attention.
24 For false messiahs and false prophets will
rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if
possible, even God's chosen ones.
25 See, I have warned you. 26 "So if
someone tells you, 'Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,' don't bother to go
and look. Or, 'Look, he is hiding here,' don't believe it!
27 For as the lightning
lights up the entire sky, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
28 Just as
the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs
indicate that the end is near.

2Thes.2:8-10 - Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, whom the Lord
Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor
of his coming.
9 This evil man will come to do the work of Satan with
counterfeit power and signs and miracles.
10 He will use every kind of wicked
deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they
refuse to believe the truth that would save them.

1Tim.4:1 - Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons.

2Tim.4:3,4 - For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right
teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who
tell them whatever they want to hear.
4 They will reject the truth and follow
strange myths.
